The first step of the preparation process is completing a thorough external two-bucket wash, carefully designed to safely remove surface dirt, grime, and contaminants without introducing scratches or swirl marks. This method involves one bucket filled with clean, soapy water and another for rinsing your wash mitt, significantly reducing the risk of transferring debris back onto the vehicle's surface.

Following the wash, a clay bar treatment is meticulously performed. This step gently removes stubborn bonded contaminants such as tree sap, industrial fallout, brake dust, and overspray, restoring smoothness to the paint surface and allowing for optimal adhesion of protective coatings.

Lastly, a chemical decontamination is applied using a specially formulated iron and fallout remover. This process dissolves embedded metallic particles that the clay bar alone can't fully eliminate. You'll typically notice these contaminants appearing as purple streaks, a visible sign the chemicals are effectively breaking down embedded iron deposits. With the surface thoroughly cleaned and decontaminated, your vehicle’s paint is now in the ideal state to undergo machine polishing.

After the surface is prepared we have a clear view of the painted surfaces condition. This allows us with confidence to understand where in our machine polishing system we need to begin to get the best results. The machine polishing, or our precision paint correction process is where the magic happens, and this is what separates dealerships and pop up shops from veterans who live and breathe cars, and get trusted to work on million dollar vehicles.

The polishing process involves the use of specialised orbital polishing techniques — within it, your vehicle’s painted surface is refined, clarity, gloss and colour depth is restored and swirl marks and surface blemishes are removed… laying the perfect foundation… and a painted surface worth sealing.

Now we've prepared the surface with a thorough wash and decontamination process and our machine polishing process has refined the gloss, clarity and colour depth of your paintwork.... the vehicle is ready for ceramic coating.

Prior to coating - we do complete an IPA wipe-down of the surface to remove any polishing oils and residues ensuring a clean, bare surface. The IPA wipe also allows us to complete a final check of the surface for imperfections before we begin coating.

Once done, the ceramic or graphene coating we're applying is installed panel by panel in small sections. We aim to deliver as much product as possible onto the surface and ensure we get the best possible seal on the paintwork

As we apply the coating, we wait for it to "flash" and wipe off any excess product to ensure we have maximum clarity and no high spots! With thick, high quality coatings, this is where expertise becomes really important.

After the ceramic coating has cured, a detailed inspection under proper lighting is essential to identify any high spots, streaks, or uneven areas. Using a mix of diffused and directional lighting helps reveal flaws that might be missed at a glance. High spots often appear darker or oily and should be gently leveled to prevent permanent imperfections in the finish.

We also run a gloved hand across panels to feel for slickness and uniformity, which helps spot any missed areas. A quick check in natural light can also expose issues not visible indoors. Lastly, ensure all trim, glass, and edges are clean and free of residue for a sharp, professional result.
